Ron Paul

Ron Paul is a 10-term U.S. Representative and medical doctor who is running for president.  He is spreading a message of peace, prosperity, and individual responsibility.

He wants to drastically reduce the size of the federal government. Specifically, he wants to:

• Eliminate the IRS
• Eliminate the "inflation tax" by returning the country to sound money
• Bring the U.S. military back from Iraq, and completely end the war
• Have the U.S. military defend U.S. borders, rather than be stationed all around the world
• Repeal the Patriot Act
• Eliminate all unconstitutional federal agencies
• Stop the move toward a national ID card system
• Allow Americans to defend themselves, as the Second Amendment intended

And he has a voting record in congress to back it up.

• Never voted to raise taxes
• Never voted for an unbalanced budget
• Never voted to raise congressional pay
• Never voted to increase the power of the executive branch
• Voted against regulating the internet
• Been repeatedly named the "Taxpayers' Best Friend" in Congress
